Part number: BR101-VM-LIC-1 · Version 1.2.0
Perpetual license for one test station
Activates Variant Manager for NI TestStand permanently on one Windows station. No subscription, no renewal, no expiration date. Activation is offline: the station never needs to reach our servers.
The software is a free download with a 6-day evaluation. It installs alongside the Bravo-101 ATE Framework, which brings TS Var Loader, the component that applies the values inside TestStand. What you buy here is the license that activates it permanently.
How activation works
You buy first and activate whenever you're ready. You don't need to have the station set up on the day you pay.
- Buy this license. We don't ask for any station information at checkout.
- Download and install the ATE Framework and Variant Manager (Windows x64) on the station you're going to license. The 6-day trial starts on its own, so you can keep working while your key is issued.
- Under Tools › Upgrade License, the software shows that station's code: it starts with
vmgr:and is derived from its TPM chip. - Go to Activate your license and enter your confirmation number (it's in your purchase email) together with that code.
- We verify the request against your order and email the key to the address you bought with, within the next business day. Apply it in the software and that station is licensed permanently.
Buying ahead or in bulk
The station ID comes from the machine's TPM, so it only exists once you have it set up. That's why activation is separate from the purchase: you can buy as many licenses as you need and activate them as you build out your stations, with no deadline. If there are several, send all the IDs in a single request, one per line.
Before you buy: check the station
- NI TestStand 2025. The TestStand 2022 package is not published: write to us before you buy if you need it.
- TPM 2.0 enabled. The license is cryptographically tied to it, and so is the local database encryption. A station without TPM 2.0 can't be licensed, and without it we won't be able to issue the key even if you've already paid. Some older stations don't have it: check first.
- 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.
What version 1.2.0 manages
So you know exactly what you're buying:
- Step parameters: for Numeric Limit and Multiple Numeric Limit, each measurement's comparison, low, high and units; for String Value, the expected text and its comparison; for Pass/Fail, its source is shown.
- Variables: file-global and container variables of type number, string, boolean, array and container, with the TestStand comment as their description.
- One variant per part number: duplicate the base and edit only what differs. Change history with user and time, CSV export and import, and sync when the sequence changes.
- Read-only guest access for quality and audits, and an interface in English and Spanish.
The sequence is never written: values are applied at run time. If the values that change between your part numbers live somewhere else, tell us before you buy and we'll be upfront about it. The user guide walks through every screen.
What the license covers
- One test station, activated permanently. The license never expires and doesn't require renewal.
- Every feature: the trial isn't a stripped-down edition.
- The TS Var Loader component, which applies the variant's values inside TestStand at runtime, at no extra cost.
- The key is tied to the ID derived from that station's TPM, so it activates that machine and no other.
- If you replace or rebuild the station's PC, send another request with the new ID and we reissue the key at no cost.
- Use within the purchasing organization. The license may not be resold, sublicensed, or redistributed.
Licensing several stations? Each one needs its own license and its own ID. Contact us for volume or site licensing.
Returns
The 6-day evaluation is the trial period: install the software, load one of your own sequences, and confirm the table shows the parameters you need before you buy. Purchases are final and non-refundable. We only refund if you were charged twice or the wrong amount, or if we can't deliver a key that activates the software on the station you bought it for. In those cases, write to info@bravo101.systems with your order number within 30 days of the purchase.
