Activate your license

You've paid; now the license needs to be tied to the machine. Fill in this form with the ID the software shows and we'll email you the key by the next business day.

Before you fill it in

  1. Install the software on the machine you're licensing. The ID is derived from that computer, so it has to be the final one, not the laptop you bought from.
  2. Open the software and copy its ID. Report Analyzer shows it on its activation screen (you can click «Start 14-day free trial» right there to keep evaluating while the key arrives). In Variant Manager the evaluation starts on its own and the ID is under Tools › Upgrade License…
  3. Have your confirmation number at hand. It's 9 letters and numbers, for example HX9H2P5P4. It appears on the thank-you page when you finish checkout and in your confirmation email. It isn't the order number that starts with #.

Where to find the ID

Report Analyzer On the activation screen, the Device ID field, with a copy button next to it.
Variant Manager Under Tools › Upgrade License…: a code that starts with vmgr:, derived from that machine's TPM 2.0 chip. Copy all of it with the «Copy product:machine for vendor» button.

Batch and advance purchases

You don't need every station ready on the day you buy. Buy the licenses you need and activate them as you build the equipment: send one request per batch, always with the same confirmation number.

One ID per line. If you're activating several stations from the same order, put every ID in the field, one under the other. We issue one key for each.

Changed computers?

Use this same form with the original order's confirmation number, enter the new machine's ID and mention it in the notes. Reissuing is free.

We don't ask which software it's for: we confirm that against your order, so there's no way you get the wrong key.
