Open any TestStand report and go straight to the failure.

Report Viewer opens the native, lightweight ATML report TestStand already writes, on any Windows PC: the run on top and a step table with limits, value, comparison and status. No TestStand installed, no account, and the report never leaves your PC. Free.

From raw XML to a document you can read.

Only what failed

One click on “Failures only” and hundreds of steps shrink to the rows that failed, with a live count. It combines with the search by step name.

Several runs in one file

When TestStand writes in append mode, Report Viewer splits the runs and lets you look at one unit at a time.

Limits, read correctly

It spells out the comparison and never invents a limit where the test has only one, or is an equality.

Incomplete reports, flagged

If you open a report TestStand is still writing, it tells you instead of showing half a table.

See it

From the file to the failure in a few seconds.

Short silent clips, recorded in Report Viewer 1.1.1 with synthetic demo data from the BDB-100 product.

  1. Clip: a TestStand report is dragged from File Explorer into Report Viewer and the step table is scrolled

Drag it in from your folder

Drag the ATML report TestStand already writes from File Explorer and it opens as a document: the run on top, with station, socket and operator, and the step table with limits, value, comparison and status.

  2. Clip: checking Failures only takes the table from 44 steps to the one test that failed

    Just what failed

One click on "Failures only" and 44 steps come down to the one test that failed, with its limit and comparison.

  3. Clip: a file with 10 runs; the selector moves from one unit to another

    Several runs in one file

If TestStand writes in append mode, the selector separates the runs: one unit at a time, with its serial number and result.

Free, no account, no network.

Open it your way

From the menu, by dragging the XML onto the window, with “Open with” in Windows, or from the recent list.

Questions

Do I need NI TestStand installed?

No. Report Viewer only reads the report files TestStand produces, so it runs on any Windows PC.

Does anything leave my computer?

No. The file is processed on your PC and nothing is sent anywhere. It works without an internet connection.

Is it really free?

Yes. There's no trial period, no key and no activation screen.

What if I need to analyze hundreds of reports?

That's Report Analyzer: it reads the same ATML report and gives you capability, failures by station, and Excel and PDF reports.
