Perpetual license for one test station

Activates Variant Manager for NI TestStand on a single Windows station, permanently. No subscription, no renewal and no expiry date. Activation is offline — the station never needs to reach our servers.

The software itself is a free download with a 6-day evaluation, and the TS Var Loader integration is included in the installer. This listing is the license that activates it permanently.

How activation works

1. Download and install Variant Manager on the station you want to license — free, no account needed. Choose the MSI that matches your TestStand release. The 6-day evaluation starts automatically, so you can be working while your key is issued.
2. The software displays that station's station ID, derived from its TPM chip.
3. Add this license to your cart and continue to checkout. Paste the station ID into the ID field at checkout — the field appears during checkout, not on this page.
4. We email your license key within one business day. Apply it in the software and that station is licensed permanently.

Install first, then buy

The station ID only exists once the software is installed on the machine you intend to license, so install it and run the evaluation before purchasing. If an order arrives without a valid station ID we cannot issue the key, and we will have to contact you for it before the license can be delivered.

Before you buy: check the station

• NI TestStand 2022 or 2025. A separate MSI is published for each release — install the one matching that station, or the TestStand integration will not work.
• TPM 2.0 must be enabled. The license is cryptographically bound to it, and so is the encryption of the local database. A station without TPM 2.0 cannot be licensed. Some older test stations do not have it — verify first.
• Windows x64.

What version 1.0.0 manages

So you know exactly what you are buying: version 1.0.0 manages the parameters of Numeric Limit Test and Multiple Numeric Limit Test steps — comparison mode, lower limit, upper limit and units — plus container and file-global variables when they are enabled for the product. If the values that change between your part numbers live in those places, this is the right tool. If they live somewhere else, tell us before buying and we will say so plainly.

What the license covers

• One test station, activated permanently. The license does not expire and requires no renewal.
• The full feature set — the evaluation is not a reduced edition.
• The TS Var Loader component that applies variant values inside TestStand at run time, at no extra cost.
• The key is bound to that station's TPM-derived ID, so it activates that machine and no other.
• If you replace or rebuild the station PC, contact us and we reissue your key for the new machine at no cost.
• Use within the purchasing organization. The license may not be resold, sublicensed or redistributed.

Licensing several stations? Each one needs its own license and its own station ID. Buy one license per station and provide each ID on its own order, or contact us for volume and site licensing.

Support and refunds

The 6-day evaluation is the trial period, so install the software, load one of your own sequences and confirm the property tree contains the parameters you need before purchasing. If a license key has not yet been issued for your order, we refund it in full. If a key has been issued and the software does not work as described on a station that meets the requirements, contact us: we will work with you to resolve it, and if we cannot, we refund your purchase within 30 days of the order date.
