Report Analyzer for NI TestStand

Turn TestStand reports into decisions

Every time a sequence finishes, NI TestStand writes an ATML XML report — hundreds of numeric limit tests, pass/fail steps and string comparisons inside a 1–2 MB file that nobody wants to open by hand. Report Analyzer reads those files directly, stores them in a local database on your PC, and produces the analysis that used to take a day of copy-paste in Excel.

Import built for production volume

Bulk-import ATML IEEE-1636.1:2011 XML files straight from your TestStand report folder. The parser understands NumericLimitTest, NI_MultipleNumericLimitTest (expanded into individual measurements), PassFailTest and StringValueTest, and reads single limits, GE/LE limits and expected-value-with-error-limits. Import filters drop SessionAction noise so the dataset stays clean, and a filter set can be saved once and reused on every import.

MSA Type 1 capability, to your standard

A 22-column statistics table per measurement: n, mean, standard deviation, min, max, tolerance, nominal, bias, Cg, Cgk, Cp, Cpk, %EV, %K, %RE and a pass / conditional / fail verdict. Four standards are built in — AIAG MSA 4 (2010), VDA 5 / Q-DAS, Ford Global and AIAG MSA 3 (2002) — and you can define a custom standard with its own factors and Cg acceptance limit when a customer requires something different.

Find what is actually failing

Yield, failure counts and the ranking of the steps responsible for them — so the conversation moves from “we have a yield problem” to “these three measurements cause most of it”.

More ways to look at the same data

  • History chart — every measured value in order against LSL/USL, as lines, points or bars, one measurement or several overlaid.
  • Histogram — value distribution against the limits, so you see immediately whether you are centered or riding a limit.
  • Trend analysis — trend table with floating mean, configurable window size and polynomial degree.
  • Graph comparison — overlay several measurements on one Y-Y diagram, or plot two against each other on an X-Y scatter with the Pearson correlation coefficient.
  • Similarity matrix — Pearson correlation across all measurements at once, to find the steps that move together.
  • Grouping — build groups of executions by lot, shift, fixture or station and run any analysis per group instead of over the whole pile.

Three report types are available: a single execution, a batch summary with yield over time and a Pareto of failures, and the MSA Type 1 report — one page per measurement with its statistics, its capability verdict, its history chart and its histogram.

Runs entirely on your own PC

Installation, license activation and daily use are all offline. Imported test data is stored in a local SQLite database on that machine. There is no server, no user account and no cloud sync, and the application contains no telemetry or analytics. It works on a station with no internet connection at all — which is how most test stations are configured.

  3. The activation screen shows your Device ID. Copy it.
  4. Buy the perpetual license and paste that Device ID during checkout.
  5. We email your license key within one business day. Paste it into the activation screen and that installation is licensed permanently.

Questions

Which report format does it read?
ATML IEEE-1636.1:2011 XML, which is what TestStand writes when the report format is set to ATML. If your sequences currently produce HTML or plain text reports, change the report format in the TestStand report options — the documentation shows exactly where.

Does my data leave my computer?
No. Every report you import is parsed locally and stored on that same PC. There is no server, no account, no telemetry and no cloud sync.

How many reports can it handle?
It is built for production volumes — imports of hundreds of files, each with 600+ numeric measurements, into a single dataset.

Is the license a subscription?
No. It is a one-time purchase, valid permanently on one computer.

What happens when I change computers?
Contact us with the new device ID and we reissue your key for the new machine at no cost.
